The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “National Standards for Accrediting Science Specializations Programs” in collaboration with the National Council for Science Specializations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The workshop took place in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences’ auditorium, with the attendance of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Bahaa Ibraheem Insaf.
The workshop aimed to adopt national standards for awarding bachelor’s degrees in science specializations, ensuring they align with international standards and meet the needs of both the public and private sectors in the local market.
The workshop covered an introduction to the pillars of the educational system and the necessity of integrating these pillars, which include management, planning, students, academics, infrastructure, and the provision of financial support, to establish a successful educational system that aligns with the institution’s goals.
Additionally, the workshop recommended the importance of implementing the educational system’s pillars comprehensively to achieve the desired outcomes from the curricula by working towards accomplishing the educational objectives.
