On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, chaired the twenty-first session of the College Council. The session was attended by the Vice Deans for Academic and Administrative Affairs, the heads of scientific departments, the Secretary of the College Council, and the head of the Graduate Studies Division.
During the session, the results of the competitive examination for postgraduate students for the academic year 2024/2025 were approved, as well as the second round results for undergraduate students for the academic year 2023/2024. The Dean directed to prepare admission test committees for new students and emphasized the need for a clear strategy for study leaves, based on the directives of the University Council and the actual needs of the college. Additionally, he stressed the necessity of publishing research in international indexed journals. Several other matters were discussed, including the follow-up on maintenance and rehabilitation works to prepare for the reception of students for the upcoming academic year 2024/2025.
