On Wednesday and Thursday, April 28-29, 2024 the college hosted professors from the University of Baghdad at the National Center for Population and Demographic Studies, including Dr. Alaa Ali Majid and Dr. Wurood Basim Noor, to give a lecture on the dangers of drugs on youth. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the Scientific Deputy, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdulhussain Atiya, the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Department, Prof. Dr. Luay Sami Refat, and the head of the Postgraduate Studies Department, Prof. Dr. Tariq Nazar Majid, along with faculty members, staff, students of the college, and specialists in sociology were invited to conduct the course. The lecture focused on the risks of drugs and their effects on youth, targeting youth awareness of the behavioral, psychological, and health risks of drugs, as well as how to prevent and be cautious of falling into the pitfalls of drug abuse.
