A master’s thesis titled (Various Exercises for the Transition Period and Their Effect on Maintaining Some Physical and Functional Capacities of Iraqi Premier League Football Players) was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad by the student (Ammar Kamel Nasser) in the specialization of (Training Science _ Football). The examination committee consisted of the following individuals:

The thesis aimed to prepare various exercises to maintain some physical and functional capacities of Iraqi Premier League football players and to understand the impact of diverse exercises on maintaining the physical and functional capacities of Iraqi Premier League football players, as well as to identify the rate of change in some physical and functional capacities levels of Iraqi Premier League football players. The research problem focused on the lack of concentration by coaches on the transition period, as they believe it is outside the training season that leads players and coaches to start from scratch at the beginning of each new football season due to the noticeable decrease in physical and functional performance. Therefore, the researcher found it necessary to study this problem and propose appropriate solutions through diverse exercises for the transition period and their effect on maintaining some physical and functional capacities of Iraqi Premier League football players.
