The University of Baghdad’s student volleyball team clinched the championship title of the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship, defeating the University of Anbar’s team in the final match with three sets to none, with scores of “25-23, 25-20, 25-22” occurred on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The championship organized by the Department of Student Activities/ The supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority Directorate/ the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, hosted by Al-Basrah University and the Southern Technical University in Basra Governorate with the participation of 40 universities. The University of Baghdad’s team succeeded in winning 6 matches played in the championship with three sets to none result to each match. This victory adds to the University of Baghdad’s record of championships, led by the coaches and players of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences headed by Dr. Alaa Muhsen and the Dr. Omar Saeed as assistant coach, along with players from the college.
