In presence of the Dean, professor Dr. Sabah Qasem and the dean’s assistant for scientific affairs professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hussein, the discussion of the master student Yousif Sarieh was held on Monday 12/6/2023 under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Thamir. The thesis entitled “The Effect of Triton Wear Data Indicator and Complex Training on Some Biomechanical Variable, Special Strength Endurance, and Youth 100m Freestyle Swimming Achievement” aimed at deigning training based on PAPE and PAP for 100m freestyle swimmers as well as measuring some biomechanical variable using triton wear indicator. In addition to that, the research aimed at identifying the effect of this training on special strength endurance, biomechanical variables and achievement in subjects understudy. The researcher used the experimental method on (6) youth swimmers aged (16 – 18) years old. The subjects used Triton wear indicator to trace biomechanical performance variables as well as feedback to improve training and to conduct special physical tests for swimmers’ strength endurance. The researcher concluded that all biomechanical variables understudy did improve after applying training like the time of the first 15 m, race time for each 50m as well as improving starting time, stroke length average, speed average, and improving endurance in swimmers’ muscles. Finally the researcher recommended the necessity of improving strength for all body muscles as well as using PAPE and PAP indicators along with complex training for measuring biomechanical variables easily and providing swimmers with feedback. The researcher recommended making similar studies on other swimming styles.
The discussion panel consisted of Prof. Dr. Yaser Nejah Hussein as chairman prof. Dr. Qasem Mohammed Abbass and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yessar Sabieh Ali as members and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Thamir as supervisor.
