Prof. Dr. Mustafa Saleh, a faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, participated as a coach in the World University Weightlifting Championships, held in Doha, Qatar, with the participation of university teams and athletes from more than 50 countries.
Drawing on his coaching expertise, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Saleh contributed to preparing weightlifter Mustafa Nasser, who won three gold medals in the +110 kg category and set a new world university record. Under his coaching and guidance throughout the competition, the athlete delivered an outstanding performance and secured first place, achieving a notable sporting accomplishment.
This achievement highlights the scientific and coaching expertise of the College’s faculty members and their role in supporting and developing sports and achieving distinguished results at international competitions. It also contributes to strengthening the College’s presence in global sporting events.
