A faculty member from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Fahim Abdulwahid Issa, participated in the International Scientific Conference organized by the University of Basrah under the theme “Sport and Digital Transformation: Scientific Insights for Building a Sustainable Future,” with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and researchers from various Iraqi and Arab universities.
The participation of the faculty member included presenting a scientific research paper highlighting the role of digital transformation in developing the sports sector and achieving sustainability.
Such conferences aim to promote scientific research, exchange academic expertise, and keep pace with modern scientific developments, contributing to the enhancement of the scientific and research level of academic institutions.
This participation comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to supporting its faculty members’ involvement in international scientific forums, thereby strengthening the university’s academic standing at both local and international levels.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
