Prof. Dr. Luay Sami Rifaat, faculty member and Secretary of the College Council at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated in the PhD dissertation defense committee of student Rasha Jameel Wanas Abdullah. The defense was held on June 11, 2026, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad.
The dissertation was entitled “The Effect of Interval-Intensity Exercises on Selected Functional Variables, Strength Endurance, and Speed of Performance among Under-19 Foil Fencing Players.” The study examined the role of interval-intensity training in enhancing physiological and performance-related variables among young fencing athletes.
This participation reflects the College’s continued contribution to academic collaboration and scientific advancement through engagement in postgraduate research and evaluation activities across higher education institutions.
