Assistant Lecturer Laith Farhan Faraj, a faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated as a referee in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers, which were held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of several Asian national teams and under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
This participation came as part of the AFC-accredited refereeing crews, during which the faculty member officiated a number of key matches in the qualifiers, delivering a distinguished refereeing performance that reflects the high scientific and professional standards of the academic and officiating staff at the college.
This participation represents a scientific and professional achievement added to the record of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, contributing to strengthening its regional and international presence and affirming its active role in supplying sports arenas with specialized competencies.
