In the presence of the Dean, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a friendly football match between fourth-year and third-year female students. The match was held on the college’s five-a-side field as part of its sports activities aimed at strengthening teamwork and cooperation among students.
The event featured an enthusiastic atmosphere and strong competition, with both teams showcasing impressive performance and high sportsmanship.
Prof. Alaa Mohsen, Head of the Team Sports Branch, emphasized that this activity is part of the college’s plan to support extracurricular programs and encourage female students to participate in sports events, given their positive impact on physical and social development.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
