At the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, a master’s thesis by student Hasanain Adnan Abdulqader titled “Design and Standardization of an Electronic Test for Certain Cognitive Performance Situations for First-Class Basketball Referees” was discussed. The thesis, specializing in Testing and Measurement – Basketball, was examined by a committee consisting of:

– Prof. Muhannad Abdul Sattar Abdulhadi (Chair)
– Asst. Prof. Nazar Ali Jabbar (Member)
– Dr. Harith Mobasher Mohammed (Member)
– Prof. Fares Sami Yousif Shaba (Member and Supervisor)
– Asst. Prof. Khaleel Sattar Mohammed (Member and Supervisor)

The study aimed to understand the cognitive performance (rules and 3PO management) of first-class basketball referees using an electronic test, and to standardize the performance levels. The research involved 65 first-class basketball referees in Iraq and utilized the SPSS software for data analysis. The findings included the successful design and standardization of the electronic test, which proved clear and easy to use. The researcher recommended adopting the electronic test to assess referees’ cognitive performance and developing programs to enhance their skills. The thesis contributes to sustainable development by promoting quality education.
