Two faculty members from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad — Assistant Lecturer Yasser Hussein Khudair as a coach, and Assistant Lecturer Hasanain Ubaid Dakhil as a player — represented Iraq in the Arab Squash Championship held in Beirut, Lebanon, as part of the Iraqi Squash Federation delegation.
The championship features six Arab national teams competing for top honors in one of the region’s most prestigious and competitive squash tournaments.
The two faculty members expressed their pride in representing Iraq at this major Arab sporting event, emphasizing that the participation serves as a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise, enhance technical and administrative skills, and strengthen sporting ties among Arab nations.
The championship has drawn significant attention from Arab federations and showcases outstanding technical levels that contribute to advancing the sport of squash and expanding its popularity across the region, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3: Good Health and Well-being and 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
