Assistant Lecturer Fatima Raad, from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, participated in the World Championship of Bagot Combat Sport, held in Darleh, Turkey, with the participation of 19 countries and more than 450 male and female athletes from around the world. She achieved first place in the championship.
This achievement came after intense and highly competitive matches that reflected the high level of the tournament, as the faculty member demonstrated outstanding performance and advanced combat skills, enabling her to surpass elite competitors and proudly raise the name of the college and the university in international sporting arenas.
The College Deanship praised this global achievement, affirming that the participation of faculty members in international championships reflects the institution’s commitment to supporting both athletic and academic excellence, and encouraging its staff to represent Iraq honorably.
This victory represents a significant addition to the college’s record of achievements and serves as motivation for further participation and success in upcoming international championships.
