The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad commenced the admission tests for newly applying students for the academic year 2025–2026. The first round of tests took place on Monday, September 15, 2025, with the participation of 250 male and female applicants, followed by the second round on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
The admission process included a medical examination (height, weight, eyesight, and overall health), in addition to skill-based, physical fitness, and gymnastics tests outlined in the college’s assessment curriculum. The applicants also underwent specialized sports tests, including handball, basketball, football, volleyball, athletics, and individual games, concluding with a personal interview.
Before the start of the first round, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, held an extensive meeting with the heads and members of the testing committees, stressing the importance of facilitating procedures for all applicants while ensuring adherence to regulations and standards. The committees supervised the process in its entirety, guaranteeing transparency and fairness in the selection.
