Dr. Wissam Najeeb Asliwah, a lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, has earned an internationally recognized FIFA certificate in Football Talent Identification after successfully completing the Talent Identification programme delivered through the FIFA Training Centre.
The specialized programme focuses on the principles, processes, and practical practices involved in identifying talented football players within player-development environments. It addresses talent identification, supporting player development, understanding individual development pathways, and considering context, bias, and long-term development in the selection process.
The certificate contributes to strengthening Dr. Asliwah’s academic and professional expertise in football talent identification and player assessment according to internationally recognized approaches and standards. This achievement also supports the development of specialized expertise and professional practices in Iraqi sport.
The College congratulated Dr. Asliwah on his achievement and wished him continued success and further academic and professional accomplishments.
