Dr. Fareeq Abdullah Hazaa, a lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, has been appointed as a member of the West Asia Rugby Federation, strengthening the presence of Iraqi academic and sporting expertise within regional sports institutions.
The appointment recognizes his academic and professional expertise in rugby and his contributions to the development of the sport at both local and international levels. It also enhances the role of Iraqi specialists in sports decision-making and in developing policies and programmes aimed at advancing rugby across West Asia.
This membership represents a valuable addition to the achievements of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and reflects the University of Baghdad’s role in providing specialized expertise to sports institutions, promoting regional cooperation, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience among countries in the region.
