The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a PhD dissertation by Iman Abd Hassan entitled “The Effect of Mobile Learning Using VisualEyes and ChatGPT Applications on Knowledge Acquisition and Learning Selected Ball Skills in Rhythmic Gymnastics among Technology-Accepting Learners.”
The study aimed to develop a technology acceptance scale and a knowledge acquisition test based on the prescribed curriculum. It also investigated the effect of mobile learning through VisualEyes and ChatGPT on students’ knowledge acquisition and their learning of selected ball skills in rhythmic gymnastics, as well as comparing the experimental and control groups.
The study highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence applications to support both the cognitive and practical aspects of rhythmic gymnastics learning. Such technologies can provide feedback, enhance skill performance, and support personalized learning programs according to each student’s individual level.
The results demonstrated the effectiveness of AI-supported mobile learning in improving knowledge acquisition and selected rhythmic gymnastics skills. The experimental group outperformed the control group in the studied variables. The researcher therefore recommended integrating artificial intelligence applications and mobile learning into rhythmic gymnastics education, particularly tools such as ChatGPT and VisualEyes, to support instruction, performance assessment, and feedback.
