As part of its commitment to humanitarian work and community service, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad organized a charitable initiative to support Al-Salihiya Orphanage on March 18, 2026. The initiative was carried out under the direct supervision of the Dean, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, and implemented by the Higher Committee for Community Service and Volunteer Work.
The campaign witnessed active participation from faculty members and staff, providing support to 74 orphaned children ranging in age from newborns to six years old. The initiative included supplying essential needs, distributing Eid clothing, and offering gifts such as toys and sweets, bringing joy and happiness to the children.
This effort forms part of a series of voluntary activities regularly organized by the committee, reflecting its humanitarian mission and ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening social solidarity within the community.
