The Department of Audit and Internal Oversight, in coordination with the Government Contracts Division at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop on the mechanism of the electronic procurement platform. The workshop was held in the main hall of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences as part of the university’s efforts to promote transparency and enhance administrative and financial systems through modern technology.
The event was attended by Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdulameer, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, several directors of finance, auditing, and government contracts, along with administrative and financial officers from various departments of the University of Baghdad.
The workshop featured a detailed presentation on how to use the platform, streamlining procurement committee procedures by digitizing announcements and tenders. This transition enhances operational efficiency, minimizes administrative errors, and ensures transparency and speed in processing procurement requests.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants’ inquiries were addressed, emphasizing the importance of adopting this technology to facilitate administrative tasks and strengthen audit and oversight functions for compliance with existing regulations.
This initiative aligns with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
By embracing digital solutions, the University of Baghdad continues to advance towards a more transparent, efficient, and technologically-driven administrative system.
