On Wednesday, February 6, 2025, the finals of the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship for male students commenced at the sports fields of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad. The event is organized in collaboration with the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The results of the first day saw victories for Al-Maarif University over Al-Farahidi University, the University of Basra over Misan University, the University of Baghdad over Al-Ain University, the Islamic University over Al-Turath University, the University of Anbar over Al-Salam University College, and the University of Tikrit over the University of Babylon.
Meanwhile, Al-Farahidi University is hosting the women’s volleyball championship matches.
This tournament aligns with several SDGs, particularly:SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being , SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
