The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, welcomed the university’s athletes who secured first-place positions in university championships. The meeting was attended by the Administrative Assistant to the President, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdulamir, and the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf.
Prof. Ensaf praised the faculty members and students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for their achievements, highlighting their active participation in the Iraqi university championships and their victories in futsal, volleyball, and table tennis.
In return, the coaches and athletes expressed their gratitude to the university administration for its continuous support, which enabled them to achieve these outstanding results. At the end of the meeting, the university president awarded medals and shields to the coaches and players, in the presence of Dr. Ali Abdulhassan, Director of the President’s Office, and Dr. Ali Sadiq Dhiyab, Director of Student Activities.
This achievement supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among students, as well as SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering extracurricular activities that enhance students’ skills and personal development.
