On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the Department of Theoretical Sciences held a workshop aimed at enhancing students’ interest in technology and encouraging innovation. Assistant Lecturer Maab Fathi Hamza explained the role of information and communication technology in advancing the sports field, highlighting how data is transferred and systems such as GPS are used to track athletes’ performance. The workshop also focused on the importance of data in artificial intelligence and the development of algorithms that improve athletic and training performance. Practical examples of sports equipment used in clubs and recent studies relying on AI for performance analysis and enhancement were presented. The workshop concluded with an open Q&A session to deepen students’ understanding and interest in modern technologies.
