A Ph.D. thesis by student Muneer Abdul-Kadhim titled “Conscious Leadership and Change Management and Their Role in Competitive Excellence of Sports Clubs in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior from the Perspective of Employees” was defended at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad. The research aimed to develop measures for conscious leadership and competitive excellence of sports clubs in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior from the employees’ perspective, create a change management scale for these clubs, and understand the current state of these concepts. The study also examined the relationship between conscious leadership, change management, and competitive excellence. The researcher achieved one of the sustainable development goals related to promoting good health and well-being, which significantly encourages tolerance and respect among employees. The descriptive survey method was used for correlational analysis. The research found a correlation between conscious leadership and competitive excellence, as well as between change management and competitive excellence. The researcher recommended activating these managerial concepts and emphasizing their practical application within sports clubs to achieve and maintain a competitive edge.
