At the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, a master’s thesis by student Jihad Karam Ali titled “Psychological Climate and Its Relationship with Group Cohesion Among Youth Players in the Premier League of Football” in the field of Psychology – Football was discussed. The thesis defense committee comprised:

The researcher aimed to Identify the level of psychological climate among youth players in the Premier League clubs in Baghdad. Additionally, the research determined the level of group cohesion among youth players in the Premier League clubs in Baghdad. As well as the researcher examined the relationship between psychological climate and group cohesion among youth players in the Premier League clubs in Baghdad.

The researcher concluded that there was no correlation between the psychological social climate variable and the group cohesion variable. Factors affecting the psychological climate were identified, including good communication among players, moral support from coaches, and a healthy competitive environment.

The researcher recommended:

– Enhancing communication: Importance of open and honest communication between players and coaches.
– Supporting players: Providing moral and psychological support, especially during times of pressure and challenges.
– Creating a healthy competitive environment: Fostering a competitive environment that encourages cooperation and constructive competition among players.
