The researcher identified the problem of the study by surveying junior league football matches in Iraq, where weaknesses were noted in jumping, balance, rotation, and quick changes in direction, affecting players’ skill performance. This affected the need to develop muscle strength and some motor abilities. Thus, the researcher suggested the idea of designing and manufacturing a proposed device operating on magnetic resistance. In addition, a special sports shoe compatible with the innovative magnetic device was also designed. Following this, special exercises were developed based on the proposed device, comprising 25 exercises aimed at enhancing lower limb muscle strength and some motor abilities.
The researcher employed the experimental method aimed to determine the effect of these special exercises using the manufactured device on developing motor abilities and improving jumping and elevation for junior football players. Post-tests were conducted, and the results were statistically processed. The researcher concluded that the exercises using the proposed device had a positive effect on developing muscle strength and some motor abilities. Therefore, the researcher recommends promoting the technology of using magnetic resistance in physical exercises and employing magnetic resistance as an effective method in sports training.
