A doctoral dissertation by student Raad Helail Abdulhassan was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/ University of Baghdad. The researcher aimed to develop two scales: one for dialogical leadership and another for the sustainable development of the administrative performance of youth and sports forum managers in Baghdad, based on the perspectives of the employees. The study also identified the level of dialogical leadership and sustainable development of administrative performance among these managers and explore the relationship between these two factors from the employees’ viewpoints. The descriptive correlational methodology was employed, with a sample of 650 individuals (58.717% of the total population) selected through comprehensive sampling from the total 1,107 employees working at youth and sports forums in Baghdad during 2023. The sample was divided into three groups: exploratory, construction, and application.
The researcher concluded that the two scales are valid for measuring employees’ perspectives and meet the scientific criteria for acceptance in sports management. Managers of youth and sports forums exhibit an acceptable level of dialogical leadership and sustainable development in administrative performance, as viewed by the employees. They possess advanced communication skills that enhance dialogical leadership, an acceptable level of independence needing further improvement, and are capable of making and implementing decisions collaboratively. Additionally, managers demonstrate advanced technical proficiency and performance quality, which helps in improving the sustainable development of administrative performance from the employees’ perspective.
