At the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/ University of Baghdad a master’s thesis titled “Intensifying Exercise Using a Muscle Work Angles Control Device to Develop Some Muscle Groups for Bodybuilders,” by student Ameer Saad Abdulrahman specializes in “Sports Training Science – Bodybuilding.” The discussion committee consisted of:

  • Prof. Mustafa Saleh Mahdi – Chairman
  •  Prof. Ammar Makki Ali Al-Najim – Member
  •  Assist. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Adeeb Abdulhassan – Member
  • Prof. Ammar Darwish Rasheed – Member and Supervisor
  •  Assist. Prof. Hussein Khamees Hussein – Member and Supervisor

The research’s significance lies in its development of specific muscle groups in bodybuilding through intensive exercises using a muscle work angles control device. This device contributes significantly to creating a qualitative training leap that aligns with the requirements of bodybuilding by defining the path of exercise movement to achieve the desired objective of using the muscle work angles control device. It emphasizes precise focus on this in exercises to develop certain muscle groups in line with the development goal.

The research aims to design and manufacture a muscle work angles control device, design a physical test to measure the maximum strength of the triceps brachii muscle, and prepare intensive exercises using this device to develop specific muscle groups for bodybuilders. Additionally, it seeks to determine the impact of exercise intensification using this device on developing certain muscle groups (chest, shoulders, arms, legs) for bodybuilders.

The researcher concluded that exercise intensification using the muscle work angles control device positively impacts the development of physical measurements for all targeted muscles, the maximum strength of the targeted muscles, and the evaluation of muscle shape. While conventional non-intensive exercises contributed to developing maximum strength, relying on intensive exercises significantly aids the development process. The use of exercises according to the principle of moments positively affects muscle mass development and judges’ evaluation of muscle shape. The researchers recommend using exercise intensification methods with the muscle work angles control device in both general and specific preparation phases.
