A doctoral dissertation was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, by the student Mohammed Jabbar Kazem. The dissertation is titled “The Impact of Compound Exercises Using Added Resistances Proportionate to Body Parts on Some Types of Handball Strength and Far Jump Accuracy for Baghdad Education Team Players” within the specialty of Sports Training Science/ Handball. The discussion committee consisted of:

– Prof. Abdulwahab Ghazi Hamoud / Chairman
– Prof. Ali Jihad Ramadan/ Member
– Asst. Prof. Falah Hashim Fanjan/ Member

The aim of the researcher was to prepare compound exercises using added resistances proportionate to body parts for some types of handball strength and far jump accuracy for the experimental group individuals. Additionally, the aim was to understand the differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-tests of research variables and their development ratios. The research problem necessitated the use of the experimental method with the design of experimental and control groups with pre-test and post-test as it is one of the most suitable scientific methods for solving the research problem. The research community consisted of players from the Baghdad Education Al-Karkh First Handball Team for the season (2023-2022), totaling 20 players. A research sample of 16 players was selected and divided into experimental and control groups, each comprising 8 players, with 4 players conducting survey experiments. Pre-tests were then administered, followed by the implementation of exercises on the experimental group. The exercises were distributed during the training regimen for a duration of 8 weeks in the specific preparation phase preceding the competition phase, with 3 units per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, totaling 24 training units throughout the exercise application period. Post-tests were conducted afterward. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for data processing statistically.
