The Dean of College Prof. Dr. Sabah Khasim Khalaf, welcomed representatives from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including Prof. Dr. Amir Rashid Amiri, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Mosaferi, responsible for public relations at the university. Also present at the meeting were some faculty members of the college, including Prof. Dr. Mohsen Ali Nasif, Prof. Salah Wahab, and Assoc. Ansam Yaroub.
During the meeting, discussions were held to explore opportunities for cooperation between Ferdowsi University and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, as well as the exchange of expertise in the fields of physical education and sports sciences. A field tour was conducted to inspect the college’s facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, and sports fields, as well as to visit the college museum and library. A presentation video about Ferdowsi University was shown by the visiting delegation, showcasing its faculty, students, published research in international journals, and the process of publication. At the end of the visit, a research lecture titled “The Underworld in Mesopotamia” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ansam Yaroub in English language. The lecture included a summary presentation of research on the underworld in Mesopotamia according to ancient myths.
The delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the college dean for the warm reception and hospitality at the end of the visit.
