On Thursday (10/26/2023), the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Baghdad witnessed a forum to discuss research frameworks for postgraduate (PhD) students in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hussein, the Head of the Theoretical Sciences Department, Professor Dr. Louay Sami Refaat, and the Head of the Postgraduate Studies Division, Professor Dr. Tariq Nizar Majeed. Discussing research frameworks is considered one of the requirements of the comprehensive exam for postgraduate (PhD) students. Therefore, (10) discussion committees were formed consisting of college professors as well as external professors from various Iraqi universities specializing in physical education and sports sciences
It is noteworthy that the “general framework of the research” is one of the most important parts that the academic researcher addresses as a major part of the master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation
The students discussed the topics of the research frameworks submitted by them, and the professors, and members of the discussion committees provided scientific comments that would improve the level of their research
At the conclusion of the forum, the Dean of the College extended his thanks and appreciation to the discussants for attending and enriching the discussions with scientific observations that would increase the scientific sobriety of the research presented
