In the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, the Head of the Individual Sports Department, and the College Council Secretary, as well as the college’s professors, a quality lecture was held for the college’s students on Thursday, October 19, 2023
The lecture covered the following topics: “The Specialized Coach, His Duties, His Mission, and the Specifications of a Fencing Coach.” The lecture was delivered by the international expert, Professor Dr. Gennadiy Tchlr from South Africa, who is also the Head of the Coaching Committee in the International Fencing Federation and the Director of the International Fencing Academy in South Africa. Dr. Alaa Abdullah, an international fencing referee from our college, also participated in the lecture
This lecture coincided with his visit to Iraq to organize an international coaching course for fencing coaches, commissioned by the International Fencing Federation and coordinated by the Iraqi Fencing Federation and the Iraqi Olympic Committee
At the end of the lecture, the Dean of the College presented a commemorative gift to the lecturer in appreciation from the college’s deanery for his presence and the delivery of the lecture
