On Wednesday (8/23/2023) and at the Federation Headquarters, the Iraqi Football Federation signed a joint cooperation agreement with the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad. The signing of the agreement was attended by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. (Munir Hamid Al-Saadi) and his accompanying delegation, as well as the President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Captain (Adnan Darjal)

The agreement was signed by Dr. (Sabah Qasim Khalaf), Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad, and Engineer (Mohammed Farhan), the Secretary General of the Football Federation. The signing of the agreement was attended by two members of the federation, Mr. (Firas Bahr Al-Uloum) and Dr. (Rasha Talib), and the Head of the Technical Committee in the Federation, Dr. (Wissam Najeeb Selioh)

The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, said that such important steps in exchanging experiences and mutual benefit and opening prospects for cooperation with various sectors, including the sports side, are considered important and fruitful for the University of Baghdad to lay the foundation stone for the advancement of achievements and the continuity of academic and sports work

In his turn, Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf confirmed that the doors of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences are open to sports federations to serve their progress and development in light of the great acceleration in achievements and for various sports activities. This is not the first time for the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences to provide facilities for the Football Federation to establish its activities. The Dean also tackled the positive aspects of the agreement for both sides in embracing and holding courses and exchanging academic experiences for the college faculty and their active contribution to the courses

The cooperation agreement included several axes, including

Holding Asian training courses and workshops, including the Asian Training Course (PRO), the Asian Training Course (A, B, C and D), and the courses for fitness trainers and goalkeepers

The axes also included supporting the national teams by providing special playing grounds for their training, as well as other sports halls, to serve their development to meet achievements
