The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral thesis by Bilal Abdul-Munim Matar, entitled \u201cThe Effect of Footwork Exercises Using Training Aids on Selected Motor Abilities and Learning Combined Offensive Skills in Handball among Students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The discussion committee included Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khamis Radi as Chair; Prof. Dr. Iyad Saleh Salman, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Kadhim, Prof. Dr. Khalid Shakir Hussein, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Hassan Shukr as Members; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Wahid Lazim as Member and Supervisor.<\/h6>\n
The study aimed to develop footwork exercises using training aids and examine their effect on selected motor abilities and the learning of combined offensive skills in handball among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad.<\/h6>\n
The importance of the study emerged from the opinions of a group of handball instructors, which indicated a noticeable weakness in learners\u2019 footwork performance when executing combined offensive skills. This weakness was attributed to the limitations of conventional exercises and the insufficient use of training aids, which may not adequately develop the required motor abilities or improve skill performance.<\/h6>\n
The researcher concluded that footwork exercises using training aids had a positive effect on developing selected motor abilities and learning combined offensive skills in handball. The experimental group also achieved better results in the studied variables compared with the control group.<\/h6>\n
