The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a master\u2019s thesis by Ali Yousif Hashim, entitled \u201cThe Effect of Special Exercises Based on Pressure Game Situations on Attentional Shifting, Decision-Making, and Shooting Accuracy among Under-19 Football Players.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The discussion committee included Prof. Dr. Saleh Radi Amiesh as Chair, Prof. Dr. Jasim Abbas Ali and Prof. Dr. Zeina Khalid Jasim as Members, and Prof. Dr. Maher Abdulilah Abdul-Sattar and Prof. Dr. Wasan Jasim Mohammed as Members and Supervisors.<\/h6>\n
The study aimed to develop and standardize measures of attentional shifting and decision-making for under-19 players of Baghdad clubs. It also sought to design special exercises based on pressure game situations to develop attentional shifting, decision-making, and shooting accuracy, as well as to examine the effect of these exercises on the selected variables among the study participants.<\/h6>\n
The importance of the study lies in the fact that many coaches focus primarily on physical and technical aspects while paying insufficient attention to training players to deal with pressure situations. This may lead to weak attentional shifting, slower decision-making, and reduced shooting accuracy during matches. Therefore, the researcher developed exercises that simulate pressure game situations to address these challenges.<\/h6>\n
The researcher concluded that special exercises based on pressure game situations are effective in improving attentional shifting and decision-making and enhancing shooting accuracy among young football players. The findings highlight the importance of integrating cognitive and mental aspects with technical and tactical training.<\/h6>\n
