The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral thesis by Murtadha Sahib Khanjar, entitled \u201cThe Effect of Contrast Training Using the French Method According to the Foster Index on Selected Bio-Motor Abilities and Performance in the 100-Metre Event among Sprinters Under 18 Years of Age.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The study aimed to investigate the effect of contrast training using the French method according to the Foster Index on developing selected bio-motor abilities and improving performance in the 100-metre event among under-18 sprinters. This modern training approach combines maximum-strength exercises, plyometric exercises, explosive-strength exercises, and sprint training within the same training session.<\/h6>\n
The researcher employed a series of tests to assess bio-motor abilities relevant to the 100-metre event, including explosive strength, strength-speed, maximum speed, and speed endurance, in addition to measuring the athletes\u2019 official 100-metre performance. Pre- and post-tests were conducted according to standardized scientific procedures, and the data were statistically analyzed using SPSS.<\/h6>\n
The researcher concluded that French-method contrast training based on the Foster Index is an effective training approach for developing bio-motor abilities and improving 100-metre performance among under-18 sprinters.<\/h6>\n
