The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral thesis by Ghassan Rahim Athaili, entitled \u201cDesign and Standardization of Combined Physical-Skill Tests and the Contribution Rates of Selected Body Composition and Functional Indicators among Under-19 Football Players.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The study aimed to design and standardize combined physical-skill tests for under-19 football players, assess their body composition and functional indicators, and determine the contribution of selected indicators to performance in the combined tests.<\/h6>\n
The importance of the study lies in supporting the development of Iraqi football, particularly the Under-19 league, in line with the requirements of professional sport and international football. The research also seeks to provide coaches and club administrators with scientific tools to assess and develop young players.<\/h6>\n
The researcher concluded that the study successfully developed and standardized combined physical-skill tests for Under-19 Iraqi league football players. Body composition indicators, including body density, body fat mass, body fat percentage, and fat-free mass, made substantial contributions to performance. Functional indicators, including short- and long-term anaerobic power, heart rate, and VO\u2082max, also played a significant role in explaining performance outcomes.<\/h6>\n
