The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad discussed a master\u2019s thesis by Al-Hassan Jameel Hassan, entitled \u201cDeveloping and Standardizing a Combined Testing Battery (Physical\u2013Technical\u2013Tactical) According to Playing Positions in Football for Under-19 Players.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The study aimed to develop a combined testing battery based on the different playing positions in football, reflecting the integrated characteristics required for defenders, midfielders, and attackers. It also sought to establish standardized criteria for evaluating and comparing players according to their playing positions, supporting coaches and researchers in scientific assessment and player selection.<\/h6>\n
The importance of the study lies in the highly complex and integrated nature of modern football, which requires players to combine advanced physical abilities, technical skills, and tactical awareness. The under-19 age group represents a crucial stage for developing and refining the foundations required for future professional performance.<\/h6>\n
The researcher concluded that the proposed tests effectively assessed combined attacking performance, including receiving, accurate passing, off-ball movement, and shooting; build-up play from defensive areas, including initiating attacks from the back and accurate passing out of the defensive zone; defensive transitions and coverage, including transitioning from high pressing to defensive retreat; and midfield organization and play direction, including changing the direction of play through short and long passes from right to left.<\/h6>\n
