The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted the Olympic Day Festival, with broad participation from athletes and presidents of sports federations. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, and the President of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, Dr. Aqeel Muftin, in an atmosphere that reflected the values and mission of the Olympic Movement in promoting sport and healthy lifestyles.<\/h6>\n
The festival featured a variety of sporting activities and events aimed at fostering fair competition, cooperation, and teamwork among participants. It also highlighted the important role of sport in community development and youth empowerment through activities organized by the participating sports federations.<\/h6>\n
Organizers emphasized that the festival aligns with global Olympic Day celebrations and promotes Olympic values of friendship, respect, and excellence. The event also supports university sports activities and encourages students to engage in various forms of physical activity.<\/h6>\n
Hosting this festival reflects the College\u2019s leading role in supporting Iraqi sports and organizing major sporting and academic events, contributing to stronger collaboration between academic and sports institutions and the continued development of sport in Iraq.<\/h6>\n
