The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University of Baghdad discussed a Master\u2019s thesis submitted by the student Nabaa Ahmed Abdulrahman, entitled: \u201cAnalysis of Neuromuscular Fatigue Using (sEMG) for Three-Point Shooting Accuracy by Designing a Physical Effort Test for Basketball Players.\u201d<\/h6>\n
The examination committee consisted of Prof. Wisan Hanoon Ali (Chair), Prof. Mohammed Mahmoud Kazim (Member), Prof. Mohammed Fadhel Alwan (Member), Prof. Fares Sami Yousif Shaba (Member and Supervisor), and Prof. Osama Ahmed Hussein (Member and Supervisor).<\/h6>\n
The study aims to design a physical effort test that simulates basketball gameplay for premier league players, and to analyze differences in neuromuscular fatigue using the (sEMG) device before and after performing the effort, particularly in relation to three-point shooting accuracy. The research applies an experimental method using a one-group pre-test and post-test design, measuring neuromuscular fatigue before and after the simulated physical effort on the study sample.<\/h6>\n
The findings indicate that the simulated basketball effort test is effective in producing significant neuromuscular changes, contributing to a better understanding of muscle performance strategies under high physical stress and fatigue. The results also show statistically significant differences with large effect sizes between pre- and post-tests in heart rate, lactic acid concentration, perceived exertion, and long-range three-point shooting accuracy.<\/h6>\n
The study recommends adopting the simulated basketball effort test as an effective protocol for inducing neuromuscular fatigue in basketball players. It also highlights the importance of utilizing fatigue analysis in designing training programs, evaluating training loads, assessing player readiness, and examining muscle synergy and its impact on three-point shooting accuracy in basketball.<\/h6>\n
