In a remarkable sporting achievement, faculty members Mazin Hussein and Dr. Fatima Rahim from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences participated in the West Asian Para Games in Muscat, Oman, as part of the technical staff of the Iraqi national athletics team.<\/h6>\n
Serving as national team coaches, they applied their academic knowledge and practical expertise to prepare and support the athletes, contributing significantly to the team\u2019s performance throughout the competition. Their guidance and training helped optimize the athletes\u2019 skills and readiness for high-level competition.<\/h6>\n
The Iraqi national athletics team achieved first place, demonstrating the successful integration of academic expertise with practical application. This accomplishment underscores the role of university faculty in promoting national sports, supporting para-athletics, and enhancing Iraq\u2019s presence in regional competitions.<\/h6>\n
This achievement aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).<\/h6>\n
