The Human Rights Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organized a workshop titled \u201cIntroducing the Principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights\u201d, as part of the activities of Human Rights Week. The workshop was held within the framework of promoting human rights culture and enhancing awareness of humanitarian principles and values among the college community.<\/h6>\n
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Osama Abdulali Khalaf, who introduced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and highlighted its importance. The session focused on its key principles, particularly fundamental human rights, equality, human dignity, freedom of opinion and expression, and the rights to education and work.<\/h6>\n
The workshop also featured interactive discussions aimed at strengthening participants\u2019 understanding of how human rights principles can be applied within the university environment and society at large, while emphasizing the role of educational institutions in consolidating and disseminating these values.<\/h6>\n
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Human Rights Unit stressed the importance of continuing to organize such awareness-raising workshops and activities, given their effective role in building a society that respects human rights and promotes a culture of tolerance and the rule of law.<\/h6>\n
