With notable participation from faculty members of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, the Iraq women\u2019s national football team achieved a significant accomplishment by securing third place in the West Asian Football Championship, which concluded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of strong teams that demonstrated a high technical level.<\/h6>\n
The college contributed to supporting and accompanying the national team through Dr. Tariq Ali Yousif as the administrative manager of the team, Dr. Yousif Kazem as the fitness coach, and Assistant Lecturer Tayba Salim, who represented the national team as a player.<\/h6>\n
The championship witnessed outstanding performances by Iraqi players, reflecting the noticeable progress of women\u2019s football in the country. The team secured third place after winning the playoff match, adding a new achievement to its sporting record.<\/h6>\n
The accompanying delegation expressed pride in this accomplishment, affirming that the result represents an important step toward the development of women\u2019s sports in Iraq, and emphasizing the continued role of the academic staff in supporting sports activities and female athletes at various levels. This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education, gender equality, good health and well-being, and strengthening partnerships in sports and\u00a0development.<\/h6>\n
