Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Baghdad, along with members of the College Council and several faculty members, attended an applied scientific lecture for PhD students. The session featured advanced practical applications of tests related to the muscular and neuromuscular systems.<\/h6>\n
The practical component involved the use of the surface electromyography (sEMG) device from Noraxon, a state-of-the-art technology for accurately measuring muscle electrical activity. Additionally, a Force Platform was used to analyze body balance and limb movement, along with the HumanTrak system from VALD Performance, which provides 3D measurements for early detection of musculoskeletal weaknesses and potential injury risks.<\/h6>\n
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Osama Ahmed Hussein, Professor of Exercise Physiology at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Baghdad, and Assistant Lecturer Ismail Hameed Saleh from the same university.<\/h6>\n
This applied lecture aimed to train students in the use of diagnostic tools for identifying injury risks associated with athletic activity, highlighting the integration of technology in modern sports science education.<\/h6>\n
