In the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, along with the college\u2019s assistant deans and heads of scientific departments, the Individual Sports Department organized a Weightlifting and Strength Challenge Festival for first-year students on Monday, January 20, 2025, under the supervision of the scientific team for the Weightlifting course.<\/p>\n

Eleven first-year student groups competed in the festival, where Group (T) achieved first place, Group (M) secured second place, and Group (W) came in third. Following the competition, a collective demonstration was held, during which the students performed the basic skills of weightlifting impressively, earning the admiration of all attendees.<\/p>\n

The festival was attended by former professors of the college, including Prof. Sareeh Abdulkarim, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Ashur University, Prof. Rafie Al-Kubaisi from Ashur University, and Prof. Mahdi Kazem, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Israa University.<\/p>\n

Such sports festivals aim to positively contribute to building balanced student personalities, steering them away from destructive ideas by creating opportunities to discover and develop their talents, training them in purposeful work, fostering a sense of responsibility, and promoting the value of dedication and giving to help build a distinguished athletic generation.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the festival, medals and trophies were distributed to the winners.<\/div>\n
