The Department of Individual Sports organized a specialized lecture titled \u201cNeuroplasticity and Its Impact on Learning Across Different Environmental Contexts. The lecture was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Abdulhussein, along with the college professors and postgraduate students. The session was delivered by Lecturer Zahir Mohammed Hassan Mohammed and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Basil Jawad.<\/h6>\n
The lecture discussed the brain\u2019s ability to change and adapt throughout an individual\u2019s life. It highlighted the brain\u2019s capacity to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections and pathways. Additionally, it addressed the crucial role of neuroplasticity in learning, memory, and recovery from brain injuries.<\/h6>\n
The objectives of the lecture were to provide insights into how the brain functions and adapts to both internal and external environments, as well as its ability to reshape and reorganize itself. It also emphasized the generation of new neurons, branches, and synapses through learning new skills, and underscored the importance of physical activity for brain health, development, and acquiring new experiences.<\/h6>\n
