On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted the technical conference for the annual marathon, \u201cSecond International Road Race (2024),\u201d under the slogan \u201cWe Stand with Palestine and Lebanon.\u201d The event was held in collaboration with the Department of Student Activities from the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Body at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of students from Iraqi public and private universities, as well as Arab and foreign universities.The conference was attended by the University\u2019s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdulameer, the College Dean, Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, and the Director of Student Activities at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiab, along with representatives from the participating universities. The event began with a reading of Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs, followed by the distribution of sports equipment to the participants and a discussion on the timing and logistics of the race, which will take place tomorrow, Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Jadriya Complex.<\/p>\n
