The Department of Individual Sports hosted the first session of the College Council for the 2024\/2025 academic year. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences\/ University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasem Khalaf, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. In attendance were the Dean\u2019s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, heads of academic departments, the secretary of the college council, the head of the postgraduate studies department, the head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation unit, and the head of the Student Affairs unit.<\/p>\n

During the session, they discussed the official attendance mechanism for faculty members and students. The Dean instructed the academic departments to ensure students attend lectures regularly and to form committees for student guidance. Additionally, they addressed the needs of students living in dormitories to resolve any issues they face and established committees to enforce the dress code. The Dean emphasized the importance of encouraging faculty members to publish in international journals to enhance the college\u2019s academic standing.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Sabah stressed the need for collaboration among all members to ensure the success of the academic year and the fulfillment of its requirements.<\/p>\n
