At the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, a PhD thesis by student Ala’ Mohammed Kazem was discussed. The thesis, titled “Effects of Single Depth Jump Training on Slopes on Certain Special Capacities and Biomechanical Variables in the Triple Jump,” was in the field of Biomechanics – Track and Field. The defense committee consisted of:<\/p>\n

\n– Prof. Dr. Ihab Dakhel Hussein \/ Supervisor<\/p>\n

The research aimed to investigate the impact of single depth jump training on slopes in developing certain special capacities and biomechanical variables in triple jumpers under 20 years old. The research hypothesized significant statistical differences between pre-test and post-test results in special capacities and biomechanical variables among triple jumpers under 20 years old. The experimental method was used (with a one-group pre-test and post-test design) due to its suitability for the nature of the problem and to achieve the research objectives.<\/p>\n

The researcher concluded that single depth jump training has a positive effect on developing specific capacities (instantaneous strength, speed strength over 30 meters, and phases of the triple jump) in triple jumpers under 20 years old. Additionally, this training positively impacts the angles of the supporting leg during the takeoff phase, enhances second speed, and leads to a reduction in momentum, indicating improved fluidity. Moreover, the training positively affects the force at each takeoff phase in triple jumpers under\u00a020\u00a0years\u00a0old.<\/p>\n
