At the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences\/ University of Baghdad, a Master’s thesis was discussed by student (Noor Najah Abdulhadi) titled “The Impact of Specific Exercises Using Both Rubber Bands and Balance Tools on Some Motor Abilities and Defensive Skills of Al-Karkh Alula Directorate’s Handball Players Aged (16-18)” in the field of (Training Science – Handball). The discussion committee consisted of:<\/p>\n

– Prof. Audai Tariq Hassan \/ Chairman
\n– Asst. Prof. Haider Abdulwahid Jaloub \/ Member
\n– Asst. Prof. Ra’ad Khanjer Hamdan \/ Member
\n– Prof. Ahmed Khamees Radi \/ Member and Supervisor
\n– Asst. Prof. Fouad Mut\u2019eb Hussein \/ Member and Supervisor<\/p>\n

The purpose of the research was to develop specific exercises using rubber bands and balance tools together and to determine their effect on some motor abilities and defensive skills of Al-Karkh Al-Aula Directorate’s handball players aged (16-18). The experimental method with two groups (control – experimental) with pre- and post-tests was used. The sample was deliberately selected from Al-Karkh Alaula Directorate’s team players and randomly divided into two groups, control and experimental, with (8) players each.<\/p>\n

The researcher concluded that using rubber bands and balance tools together had a positive impact on developing some motor abilities and defensive skills in handball. The experimental group achieved better results in the studied variables compared to the control group. The researcher recommended utilizing the special exercises using rubber bands and balance tools together in training the teams of the Directorates of Education in the Ministry\u00a0of\u00a0Education.<\/p>\n
